O’Connor catching the eye
Skysports.com reports that a host of clubs are tracking Scunthorpe United midfielder Michael O’Connor.
O’Connor
has been a stand-out performer for the Iron this season with a number of eye-catching performances.
The Northern Ireland
international has chipped in with five goals from midfield and scouts have been flocking to Glanford Park to run the rule over his talents.
O’Connor has established himself as a key member of the Scunthorpe side since his arrival from Crewe for a bargain £250,000 from Crewe in the summer of 2009.
West Ham were linked with the 23-year-old last January and they are thought to be still keeping tabs on the midfield dynamo, along with a number of other Premier League sides.
A host of Championship sides are also thought to be chasing O’Connor ahead of the opening of the transfer window in January.
Scunthorpe would be reluctant to lose O’Connor, but they could struggle to reject a sizeable offer for his services.
