Debut goal for Jeff

A debut goal for Jeff Henderson helped Gateshead to a 1-0 away win at Ebbsfleet United on Saturday.

Jeff, who only started his month long loan on thursday, played the full ninety minutes. The win put Gateshead back to the top of the table on Saturday night.

Speaking after the win, Gateshead boss Ian Bogie said:

“Henderson was excellent – he scored the all-important goal, defended well and his distribution from the back was very good.

“He’s a young lad who is at the next stage of his development. He’ll be a great asset and will take all the plaudits for his goal. He’s only had a couple of training sessions with us but looked like he had been a part of the defence for several weeks.”
